# Discord Guidelines

This guide aims to show you simple ways to explore and contribute to the OpenGuild server. Let’s get started.

## Get Started

Please get yourself into the Start Here category

* Let other member know more about you **#introducing-and-networking 🤝**
* Read the **#rules 📕** & **#roles🏅** channel to understand our community structure and claim membership
* Go to **#languages** channel and react the flag to access your languages channels at **#community**

## Exploring our channels

### **1. General Information**

* **#announcement channel 🔔**: it is for general updates within OpenGuild and Polkadot
* **#job-board 🍀**: where you guys can find job opportunities
* **#official-resources🗂️**: where you can find official open sources for learning and contributing
* **#events 📅**: announcement of upcoming events in OpenGuild and Polkadot

### **2. Chat Channel**

* **#forum-discusion🗣:** Where our DevRel will post topics for us to discuss
* **#general:** This is where we discuss everything in Polkadot Ecosystems, Events, Projects,...
* **#share-your-ideas💡:**

Using channels for ongoing discussions is not ideal. Interruptions from others or losing track of messages on a particular subject can be common. Therefore, we highly recommend using threads for more focused and persistent conversations.

To create a thread, here is a guide:

### **5. Online Courses**

This category is used for updating online courses

## Tagging Roles & Asking

* Only tag the @Member role if you have a very strong reason to do so. It's irritating to other Members. If you do it for no reason, our admin will ban you.
* If you need help from us, please tag admin or create a support ticket 📩

# Agent Instructions: Querying This Documentation

If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://handbook.openguild.wtf/general-information/guidelines/discord-guidelines.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
